This short-lived power trio featured guitarist and producer Rick Derringer, ex-Vanilla Fudge bassist Tim Bogert and Rock & Roll über-drummer Carmine Appice. \"The Sky Is Falling\" is a hard rock album with well-written compositions, great production, excellent vocals and musicianship. All three members are strict super-choppers and studio professionals and it shows that they have been recording since the 1960s. 17 years after this album was released, the music still has teeth, because it's well arranged and raucously played.
